Introduction

MarketRock is an eBay-certified APP that leverages the latest version of LMA (Large Merchant API).

In this article, you will find all the configurations related to your eBay account, following this structure:

Connect Your eBay User to MarketRock

To add a new eBay account, simply:

  1. Log in to MarketRock with your User & Password
  2. Click (top right): Settings (Gear icon)
  3. Select eBay Settings > eBay User
  4. Click Add an eBay User

The system will redirect you to the eBay page.

To make final adjustments:

  1. Select your eBay username and click Edit
  2. Enter your PayPal account
  3. Enable inventory synchronization: Sends updates to eBay about stock quantities of your listings. This is only applicable for products without variations. Enabled by default.
  4. Remove HTML in descriptions: If activated, sends eBay's long description without HTML, making it compliant with eBay standards. This "cleaning" happens at the template level. The tags removed are: "applet", "area", "base", "form", "frame", "frameset", "iframe", "map", "noframes", "noscript", "object", "script" (all active content, JavaScript, Java applets, Flash content, and frames).
  5. Replace HTTP links with HTTPS: Converts http links to https, provided they lead to an existing page. This ensures compliance with eBay's new security protocols.
  6. Enable the "Out of Stock" Option (click here to learn more).
  7. Always publish a listing for each compatibility: Check this option if using compatibility for spare parts and accessories. See the dedicated article.
  8. Always publish a listing for each variant: Creates a separate listing for each variation instead of a single listing with dropdowns.
  9. Set quantity to 0 for variants with a preparation time greater than: Choose a value to set the stock to 0 when the preparation time falls below a certain threshold.
  10. Automatically add catalog details: Check this option to allow eBay to add additional product information based on the EAN code.
  11. Automatically add catalog images from eBay’s product catalog: Check this option to add product images found via EAN in eBay’s catalog.

IMPORTANT:

The connection between MarketRock and eBay is managed by the eBay TOKEN, which has an expiration date.

When the token is about to expire, MarketRock will send a notification email 1 month, 1 week, and 2 days before the expiration date.

To renew it:

  1. Return to this section.
  2. Select your eBay account.
  3. Click on the "Renew eBay Token for the selected user" icon.

Renewing the eBay Token

To prevent third-party software (such as MarketRock) from accessing your password, eBay generates a "key" called a Token.

To renew the Token:

  1. Log in to MarketRock.
  2. Click Settings > eBay Settings > eBay User.
  3. Select your eBay user from the list.
  4. Click Renew Token (Circular arrow icon).
