Common Questions about Instant Repricing from Users
Products Do Not Link / Repricing on Amazon Doesn’t Work
If products aren’t linking or repricing on Amazon isn’t functioning, check the following:
-
Verify Amazon Account Connection to MarketRock
- Go to Settings > Amazon Settings > Amazon Users to ensure the account is connected.
-
Ensure “Keep Synced” is Enabled
- This should be checked in the price list connected to Amazon (Settings > Price Lists).
-
Check if the Product is Included in the Rule
- In Analytics, select the rule and make sure all columns are populated. If dashes (“--”) appear, the product isn’t linked.
- In the Rules section, filter by product SKU.
-
Confirm Product Presence on MarketRock
-
Check Product Linkage to an Amazon Listing
-
Ensure Product Quantity and Price are Set for the Target Market
-
Verify Rule Presence in the Rules Page
- Sometimes, due to a minor glitch, the rule may not be created.
-
Check if Competitors Exist for the Product
- Go to Analytics > Click on Product Code to open the product’s Amazon page in a new tab, where you can see the number of sellers and their prices under the product name.
Note: Competitors who sell new items with a shipping time longer than 7 days are not considered.
Why Does Instant Repricing Monitor Prices of Sellers Outside Italy?
Listings from non-Italian sellers are included if they offer shipping to Italy. To exclude them, add these sellers to the exclusion list in the rule (Settings > App Settings > Instant Repricing > Rules > select rule > Edit > Exclude sellers).
Why Does Instant Repricing Show a Competitor Price I Can’t Find in the First 30 eBay Competitors?
In Analytics, you might see competitor prices for a product that aren’t among the first 30 listings when you search on eBay.
To investigate further:
- Go to Analytics > Click on Product Code to open a second tab on eBay with listings that match the product query.
- Use filters on the left side of the eBay screen, such as “New” and “Buy It Now.”
- Apply additional filters based on rule settings (e.g., “Italy,” “Top Sellers”).
- If you excluded certain sellers during rule creation, remember to remove them from the competitor count.
I Disabled the Rule, But the Price Doesn’t Revert to the “Original Price”
Disabling the rule leaves prices at the last repriced value. To revert to the “original price,” delete the rule or remove the product from it. Syncing alone won’t reset the price, as it doesn’t detect changes without action. The price will only change if the “original price” is updated in the file or price list (even a 1-cent increase).
My Product Price Isn’t Changing
If you’re unsure whether a product’s price is updating, check these before reaching out to support:
-
Ensure Product Has Quantity
- In the Products menu, use filters or add “quantity” to your view.
-
Check Competitor Prices
- In the Instant Repricing app, go to Analytics and select the product’s rule to view its placement on the marketplace and competitor prices. Click the product code to open a tab with the marketplace page.
Note: Only competitors who sell new items with a maximum 7-day shipping time on Amazon are considered.
-
Check Price History
- In Analytics, select the rule, find the product, and click on price history to see a graph of price changes over time.
-
Ensure “Keep Synced” is Enabled
- This should be active in the price list management for Amazon (Settings > Price Lists).
-
Competitor’s Offer Remains Unchanged
- Example:
Initial Condition: File/MarketRock price is 10, competitor’s price is 5.
If repricing is set to adjust the price to be €2 lower than the best competitor, the repriced price becomes 3.
If the file price changes to 12 but the competitor’s price remains at 5, the repriced price stays at 3.
- Example:
The Repriced Price Doesn’t Match Competitor Prices
Ensure:
- Product has quantity.
- Product is included in a rule.
- Product has a price in the price list connected to the marketplace.
- You applied filters on eBay (e.g., “Buy It Now,” “New”).
- You have configured competitors correctly (see article: Competitor Selection).
- To add your store name to the list of excluded competitors for added accuracy if you’re the only one viewing this product.
Error When Creating a Rule – User Error
If you get an error when creating a rule, check the Amazon Users tab in Instant Repricing to see if your user is connected. If not, click “connect” and try creating the rule again.
Products Do Not Link / Repricing Doesn’t Work on eBay
If Instant Repricing isn’t working, check:
-
Product Linkage to an eBay Listing
-
Product Presence in the Rule
- Go to Analytics, select the rule, and check if columns are populated.
Unable to Add Product to Rule
If MarketRock doesn’t allow adding a product to a rule:
-
You may have reached the maximum number of repriced products.
-
The product is linked to another rule associated with the same price list.
- Solution: Create a new list connected only to eBay (or vice versa).
-
If Rule is Linked to AMAZON:
- Verify the product has a valid EAN and is linked to a product page.
-
Check for Valid EAN or Linked ASIN
-
Product Variants Not Specified
- Instant Repricing expects variant details if variants are enabled.
-
Query is Missing
- If no query is set, Instant Repricing will use the EAN, linking only to products with a valid EAN.
