A powerful tool for working smart
If you have a business management software that you use for your daily business activities, integrating it with MarketRock can mean a significant time-saving.
Integration with management software can happen in different ways and for different purposes, but all of them are related to the following primary needs:
-
TAXATION
One of the emerging needs, as the technological structures of governments are progressively digitalizing, even in European countries, with the opportunity to make the fulfillment of many tax obligations programmatic. -
WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT
A matter of organizational physiology that every company considers among its priorities: knowing what is available in its warehouse, in ever quicker times (preferably in real time). -
REPORTING
Because often, the management system is the most reliable source for querying data, as taxation is strict.
Whatever your need may be, MarketRock can meet it, and in this article, you can understand how and according to which criteria. Below are the following topics in order:
- Difference between Integrated Management Software and Billing Provider
- Operating Architecture of an Integrated Management Software
- Operating Architecture of a Billing Provider
- Hybrid Architectures
Difference between Integrated Management Software and Billing Provider
The subtle difference between an Integrated Management Software and a Billing Provider lies in the process by which you fulfill orders collected through distribution channels.
In the case of Integrated Management Software, what happens is a transfer of data from MarketRock to the management software. Once the data is transferred from MarketRock, you perform all the administrative operations directly on the integrated software.
If you want to turn your software into an Integrated Management Software with MarketRock, you can simply configure the Report Center.
An excellent example of Integrated Management Software is Danea EasyFatt, whose integration and maintenance are handled by MarketRock. Read this article for more details on how it works.
When a management software acts as a Billing Provider, however, you use MarketRock to trigger the issuance of documents in the management software. The documents you can issue are:
- Receipts
- Invoices
- Transport documents
By clicking the Register Receipts button in the Orders section on MarketRock, you not only transfer the information to the Billing Provider you integrated but also perform the accounting registration as expected by the management software.
An excellent example of a Billing Provider is the software Fattureincloud.it, whose integration and maintenance are handled by MarketRock. Read this article to learn more about how it works.
Operating Architecture of an Integrated Management Software
While there is no single operating architecture, because integrations can be customized according to the needs of each organization, below are the main aspects related to how MarketRock works with an Integrated Management Software:
Downloading Orders
Downloading Orders from MarketRock to the Integrated Management Software means obtaining a series of data that would otherwise have to be manually entered into the system. These include:
- Customer data
- Order header, different for a consumer and for a B2B client
- Order lines detailing Products purchased, Prices, Quantities, VAT rates to apply, etc.
Uploading Products
Importing updated Products from the Integrated Management Software to MarketRock means:
- Updating the available stock quantity for each Product on MarketRock
- Updating the Price for each Product on MarketRock
- Adding Products that have been added to the company’s inventory in the meantime
Operating Architecture of a Billing Provider
As with Integrated Management Software, we cannot say there is one single operating architecture for the same reasons. However, here are the main aspects related to how MarketRock works with a Billing Provider:
Issuing Documents
From the MarketRock interface, you select one or more Orders and click the button to issue the document in the management software acting as a Billing Provider.
Uploading the Document
Once the document is issued, the Billing Provider uploads it to MarketRock. The fiscal document appears in the Order details under the Fiscal Documents tab. The document is then transferred to the distribution channel where the order was generated (e.g., on Amazon).
The document is transferred to the distribution channel only after the Order is marked as "Shipped" on MarketRock.
Warehouse Movement
When the management software supports it, the issuance of a document may conclude with a modification of the available stock quantity of the sold product.
If you use Fattureincloud.it as a Billing Provider, the document issued must relate to one or more SKUs identical to those in Fattureincloud.it if you wish the stock to be adjusted.
Hybrid Architectures
When you choose to implement an integration with your management software using MarketRock APIs, you can choose in detail how the integration should behave.
An API-based integration offers the flexibility to classify your software as either Integrated Management Software, Billing Provider, or a hybrid of the two.
